According to reports, one of the potential candidates for a highly sought-after Hollywood role is a local from Rosh Ayin who has made a name for himself in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise.
Marvel recently introduced a new Muslim superhero to its comics, and rumors have surfaced that an Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, may be in the running to play Wonder Woman in an upcoming Batman-Superman film. Gadot is known for her role in “Fast and Furious” and has been added to a shortlist of actresses being considered for the coveted role.
In July 2015, the highly anticipated Justice League movie featuring Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will hit theatres. The movie is being directed by Zack Snyder, who previously directed “Men of Steel.” According to Variety, actresses Elodie Yung of “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and Olga Kurylenko of “Quantum of Solace” are being considered for the role of Diana Prince, also known as Wonder Woman.
Meet Gadot, a successful model and former beauty queen who was crowned Miss Israel in 2004 when she was just 28 years old. Born in Rosh Ayin, Gadot gained worldwide recognition after featuring in a 2007 photo shoot for Maxim magazine that highlighted the attractive female soldiers serving in the IDF.
The competition for the role of Wonder Woman is expected to be intense, but Gadot might have an edge due to her prior experience working with Snyder. He previously directed another Israeli actress, Ayelet Zurer, who also had dark hair in “Man of Steel.”
