Gal Gadot is gearing up to portray one of DC Comics’ most legendary superheroes. The actress is optimistic about her role as Wonder Woman and aims to inspire “more strong female figures” in the media. She believes that girls were at a disadvantage because they didn’t have a superhero to admire, unlike boys. Unlike boys who had Superman, Batman and Spider-Man, girls were short changed in this aspect. It seemed bizarre that after 75 years, we still hadn’t seen her origin story. To tackle this issue, Gal hopes that her portrayal of Wonder Woman would serve as an inspiration to her daughters Alma (6) and Maya (2 months). She firmly believes that men can learn from strong female characters on screen because empowerment requires education.
